What to do when HUDs don't show up on screen?

I have a couple of HUDS that worked fine until the other day.

One was on the top left side and was center bottom of my screen. Now when I wear then, they say they're worn but I can't see them on my screen. How do I move them back? Thanks for any advice.

If you do have a hud that you can see, right click on it and select edit, while in edit mode zoom the screen (if you have the middle mouse wheel that works best) the huds that are not showing on the screen will show up.

then just edit those ones and drag them into the viewable area (it will be outlined for you)

If you do not have a hud showing, just make a basic prim block attach it to the center of your hud and use that to go into edit mode

And if you attach a prim block, but can't see it, try hitting Alt+Shift+H

I tried these. Unfortunately, I can't see the HUD at all. It's somewhere off lost in space off my screen or viewing area.

If all that fails, detach the HUD objects and attach them somewhere else like your hand. Edit, turn on the grid, and snap them to 0,0,0. Then try attaching them back to their original HUD positions. It only looks weird for a little while =)

Attaching to yourself is a good approach.
Sit on a posing stand and cam carefully around the attachment point if you can't see the hud. The hand is a good point to use.

I've also come across the apparently random situation of a hud been rotated 180 degrees when attached.
This can make it appear that the hud is borked in some strange way.
If the back of the hud is a transparent texture (it happens)!, then the hud can't be seen.

There's also the Clear Cache option. This can make unaccountable invisible objects visible again.
A hud is just an ordinary object that happens to be rezzed in your viewing window rather than in a fixed point in the world.
Yup. If you really like the look of your new sailing boat, attach it to a hud point and you'll be able to see it all the time :)
