Prices coming up wrong or with missing digits?

Hi all...I apologize in advance if this has already been asked or discussed..I can't seem to find it, so if it's out there, pointing me to the thread would be greatly appreciated.

Anyway...I've had quite a few L$ refunded back to the customer immediately after they have paid for an item. A few of my customers have contacted me about it, telling me they are showing the item sold for X amount of $, when it's clearly set for a higher amount (make sense)?

So basically, I have something I'm selling, set for 65L. They are telling me it's only showing them set for sale a 6L. On my other account, I have some items set for 5,000L and it's showing some customers it's only 500L.

After speaking with them, all are running the newest RC viewer...so is this a problem with the viewer or just some adjustment somewhere that needs to be made?

I downloaded the newest one, used it and love it, but when I went to purchase some things today, I got the same problem as my customers. Items showing for x amount of $, I pay, then immediately get refunded. I relogged using the other viewer only to see that I didn't pay enough.

So, I guess my question, is...anyone else experiencing these problems or is this a known issue that I just overlooked?

are you using scripted vendors? are you sure that the script is not malformed?

You might want to consider logging in with the "Official Viewer" and see if the problem persists. If it's a problem with the Beta version (RC) then that's something that should be reported.

No I'm not using scripted vendors. Everything shows fine in the original viewer, even shows fine for me using the RC viewer, well my stuff shows fine for me.

The store I was at when I noticed the problem too wasn't using scripted vendors either.

Just the last digit was missing from the price.

I just had 2 customers tell me they were immediately refunded again, so explained to them to try the other viewer and see if it's still a problem.

I don't understand that. If the price of an object is being shown wrong, customers will pay the price of the object. There will be no refund because they automatically paid the right amount. Objects will only refund money if they contain a script that deals with the purchase.

Well in my store, I have everything set to either give copy or give contents. My customers are paying and it's showing in the RC viewers as some of my items priced at 500L instead of 5000L. So when the customer pays 500L for it, it automatically refunds their money because they didn't pay the right amount.

Just as I did on a couple of items I tried to buy from a store today. It was showing me the price of 400L instead of the correct price of 4000L. When I paid, I got an automatic refund. I relogged using the official viewer and went back to the store to see the items I was purchasing was showing up at 4000L instead of what the RC viewer was showing me of 400L. Which is fine, I didn't mind paying the actual price for it and I understand glitches and all. But some of my customers don't and well, it's just a pita.

I don't know, it's aggrivating for me when my customers are quite upset they are seeing one price and I'm telling them, no, the price is actually x amount of dollars.

I've ended up giving them the products for the price they're seeing in the viewer, but before doing so, I ask them to email me a screenshot of the price it's showing.

They're seeing the wrong "buy" price... not the "pay" function that is used by scripts.

Could it be that there's BOTH a vendor script AND you have it set to buy?

You don't get a refund from things unless there's a script. So if they are getting refunded, doesn't there have to be a script paying them back?

That doesn't prevent you from setting it to sell the contents of course...

Did you set things for sale to be found in the new search? When I did that, it confused customers. ;)

Maybe you have it set that if you click it, it'll buy, but if you right-click and select pay from the pie it's borking then?

I got an IM just a bit ago from a customer looking at my shop. Just one of my items listed for L$100 came up for him as L$10. He did not try to buy it since it was obviously wrong, as similar items were showing correctly, and he just IM'd me to let me know. I know they are all marked correctly because I checked them after reading this thread earlier. Nasty little bug this one... I just use the normal prim sell feature, contents, no scripts.

Does there? Normally the client wouldn't be giving us the opportunity to even pay the wrong price for items like this. Maybe someone at LL thought ahead and built this error check into the system?
