My partner once found a long while back an incredible underwater cave..he lost the landmark and cant remember the name...any suggestions for caves, caverns or grotto places to explore?

Oh yes! Grendel's in the Avaria sim group. Every one of them is worth a day's exploration and then some! Awesome build and the ground above the caves truly looks like a ground. Whoever built them is worth their L converted to Euro at a 1:1 ratio!

I love the caves under Avaria (not sure which of the four sims it is - Avaria Kro I think). For anyone who is wondering how big they are, I was sailing a 10m long elven boat down there earlier in the week with no problems. They cover virtually the whole sim, with tunnels & galleries on several levels.

There's the Cavorite Mines in Caledon Moors - approximately the NW corner of the region. Also, Victoria City has a sewer system. Quite a few things under the ground (and sea!) in Caledon if you explore.

There's a relatively small cave system to explore under Poliwai Park (listed in search). It's more of an indiana jones style than straight-up spelunking though.

I built a small set of sea caves in Sunrise Hopes. Watch out for mermaids...

I believe Caribbean Escapes is the current name of the sim where I built my first really extensive set of caves - Nohona Caverns. The entrance is under the waterfall, at the bottom of the first falls coming down from the lake in the top of the mountain.

The caves in the Algarond sim are very extensive and worth exploring. I think that they even have an underground hot spring for your bathing pleasure.
