Unable to create requested object

The other day I tried putting a pair of my boots on and for the left foot part, got the message "Unable to create requested object. Please try again." The other parts of the boots come on fine. Usually when this has happened in the past, it would correct itself at the next log in. Well it's been 3 days and I have logged off and on quite a few times. I am still getting the same message.

Any ideas?

Assuming you've tried clearing your cache, you may have gotten bit with primus interruptis that corrupted the item in the asset server (usually when trying to rez something when is really dodgy.) I've had that happen with houses and the only remedy was flushing the old item and replacing it.

I tried searching around for you but sadly, if you've tried everything, (clear cache/trying in another region-empty), there's nothing much you can do. Don't delete it right away, try it again every time you log on for a week or so, then I'm afraid deleting it will probably be best....
