Are orbitting and cageing against the TOS if they are consensual?

If, for example, if I set-up a cageing themed sim where it was explained to all entering the sim that cageing was part of the roleplay, would that be okay?

as long as the person you are 'testing' your new toys on doesnt mind its ok

Under what circumstances can you orbit someone without their approval? I heard if someone was harassing you on your own property it was okay.

Still gonna do it on my property if I get messed with, consent or not. I think I'm being nice enough having absolutely no ban lines up and putting a public park with a hedge maze and playground on one half of my property...

I know huh? I mean I have security and cameras but I only use them to let me know when someone is at my house, since my property goes over a bridge and continues on the other side of a river. I can't see it all without the technology...

Actually I am still working on a script that will take a high speed screenshot of an avie's face as he hits Mach 1 over my property. I'm gonna do a scrapbook of shame with all their pictures and the one who looks the most surprised will get a free gift! LOL

Almost anything you do With Consent is Ok. The only things that wouldn't be are things that Crash Sims or does Mass Attacks, as they effect Far more than Just the two people Participating.

If its on your own land you can do ANYTHING to them be creative have fun !!

Oh, I experimentally orbitted first my fiance and then myself once. unfortunately the orbiting object stayed on the ground and it took me days and an alt to get us two down again because as long as the object existed, we stayed orbited...so make sure even if it's consensual that you can safely get down again... i had a conversation with a Linden about that too, and she couldn't help me either-but she also didn't say it was against the TOS to do it to yourelf

I sometimes cage and orbit myself. The view from up there is pretty.

In my time in SL, from January 07, I've only had to get rid of someone once.
I was chatting with a friend on my land. This bozo arrived and pushed my friend. Then he produced a gun. I asked him to stop and put away the gun.
He didn't.
I put him on the plots Ban list.
He disappeared - poof! - although I could see him circling the build on minimap until he obviously got bored.
I continued the conversation with my friend where we left off.


What's the drama for? Caging him, orbiting, shooting?

Maybe when one gets to a few hundred banned avatars a FIFO process would un-ban the names you banned a few hundred bans ago. What are the chances that those names would return?

just make sure you can always get the actual orbitting object....I tell you, it's no fun bouncing up and down all the time trying to get back down....
