I have been seeing this for a week or so. I TP to a new location, i get there fine but as things rez in around me I crash dramatically to my desktop. I do get a nvidia driver runtime error, that says it has recovered.
If i try to log right back in i get DNS error like my connection is bad. Nothing i do fixes this until i restart my puter(and sometimes reboot router). Then all is fine.
This is the first puter ive ever built and it has a few oddities. The first and most likely the issue it has dual LAN. The other oddity are two 8800 gts cards. That get switched between SLI and "lots of monitors" modes.
I cant be sure atm, but i think this only happens in Non SLI mode. i will try to prove that later.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA Alisha

TIA Alisha I have part of your problem and have had for months now. I've posted threads, and tried every single thing everyone suggested. This is just for the nvidia error (Display Driver has stopped responding and has recovered) and the dramatic crash to the desktop. I don't have the other issues you mentioned *yet*. In all my research, reading old Forum threads going back to 2007 on this issue, JIRA's, etc, it appears to be an issue with Nvidia and Microsoft pointing the finger at one another; and sad to say, no one has resolved it yet. There's no pattern to it; sometimes I can stay inworld for an hour or more, sometimes it starts within 5 minutes. I haven't found a fix and will be looking forward to what you find out, who knows, maybe someone will post to you with something I haven't tried yet, but I doubt it.

Thanks Treasure. We do seem to have the same runtime error with the nvidia stuff.
I have been thinking of trying different drivers. But i have BFG overclocked cards that do not like any of the new drivers i have tried. The new drivers always seem to not turn on fans or perform oddly. Ill try BFGs site again.
Thanks!
