can someone get banned for good on sl for spamming another gaming group ?????
as my other alt has been disabled and i dont no wat to do ive put in a ticket and tried to talk to some of the lindens but no reply yet and my alts account has been disabled for 3 days now
or is there a way i can get into my alt so i can get my money from it

If enough AR's were filed, I wouldn't be surprised.

And I AR group spam, so this thought makes me happy.

yes spamming can get you banned

Most of us owners work hard to buid our groups and do so HONESTLY. That means we do not spam.

Not only is spamming someone elses group RUDE, but hell yes it can get you banned! Almost all owners of ANY group, will send Abuse Reports in for such actions. Not to mention the users of that group will as well.

Which leads me to my next point. Unless you ASK an avi first for PERMISSION to present them with a landmark or notecard... THAT is considered spamming as well. Those also get a lot of Abuse Reports.

Go read the SL Terms of Service. Spamming is not allowed and clearly stated in them. And don't forget... when you signed up for SL, you AGREED to those rules!

So.... are you saying that you WERE spamming another group? Yes it can get you banned and it should - read the TOS.

ok guys wat happend was i opend all the normal groups to spam for my place and just as i was paisting my spam in all the groups i was supposed to i didnt no i had opend the group that i wasent supposed to i have never before spammed a group im not meant to but spammed this group for some strange reason and got alot of grief from members of the group witch is right for them to do i was wrong to do it in the first place but didnt no i did and i left the owner of the group a IM saying how sorry i was for doing it but i went ofline and when i tried to get back online i couldnt it left me number to phone but i dont no any of the usa codes of the local code im meant to try and phone im from the uk so if anyone can give me the right number with all the codes to phone ill phone linden support to try and sort this out ive now been on sl for over 2 years and never spammed another group im not supposed to so im just wondering wat to do next as i cant get the right number to phone ive put in a ticket no reply yet and that was 4 days ago now ive spoke to some lindens but the wrong ones as i was told by 1 of them but they couldnt point me in the right way

Toll-free numbers are generally hopeless outside the US and Canada, but other numbers should work if preceded by the appropriate international dialing code. Most likely that will be "001". ("00" is the "International Direct Dialing" prefix to dial out from many countries, and "1" is the "Country Code" to dial into the US and Canada from anywhere.) So the whole sequence of digits for Billing would be 0017032866277.

If that doesn't work, perhaps consult a local phone book (if such things are still to be found anywhere).

I'm still a bit unclear on this part. You have multiple groups associated with your place? And you spam those groups?

Each group that I belong to is for a specific store or purpose. Almost all of them only send notices and do not do any advertising in the group chat - if group chat is allowed at all, it is to ask questions about a notice.

If you do not get permanently banned, would you please let me know what your place is and/or what the groups are so that I can avoid them?

johnjo, next time try to remove the spaces too, not only punctuation. This will make things much clearer to us, non native English speakers.

Little first of all there is now a few groups that you can spam your shop gaming place or if your selling land you just need to search advertising groups and you will see alot of them

There are groups that exist solely for the purpose of spam? And people join them because they WANT to send and receive spam? YUCK!

Many of us are tired of receiving spam in our non-spam friendly groups from people who type in afterward "whoops wrong group hehehe" and I for one think that most of the time, they know darn well what they're doing and didn't "accidentally" spam any group.

You may wish to create an alt to use just for your spamming groups, and not have it join any non-spam groups, so this doesn't happen to you in the future.

To clarify for those of you who are having difficulty understanding the OP: It sounds like what happened is that he was sending a spam message to advertising groups that allow spam, but he accidentally also sent the message to a group that does not allow spam, and he got abuse reported for it.

If the group members are in the group in order to receive broadacst messages by any other members who want to send, then those messages are not spam.
