Cant update payment info?

I don't like putting my credit card over the internet, no matter how safe this website, I wont Instead I use the mastercard/visa gift cards to buy lindens. I used them before, with no problem, both visa and mastercard. I just picked up a $50 visa gift card and im trying to update it on my payment info... and it was saying 'Payment failed, please try another payment method/type." I tried it a few times now im getting a 'Not authorized' error...
I called visa to make sure it was activated correctly and registered, they said yes it should work.
Whats going on here? If the SL wont allow me to buy lindens, ill have to take my business to the slex.

Not sure what's happened, but you might try removing the old payment method and THEN put the new on in.
Other than that, I'd suggest SLEx anyways.

I've never dealt with them on the buying end, but on the selling, it pretty quick. And their customer service is far, far, far superior to LL's.

If anyone has bought gift cards form rite aid, do you know if rite aid hold purchases on the card for 24 hours?

Slexchange goes through right away for buying .... at least \after\ your first purchase. i remember my first purchase through Slexchange took then several hours to fill and they warned it could take up to 24.. every time there after it went through right away. But, i use Paypal, not a credit card through Slex, so that might be the thing.  |

Did you request a balance on it when you called? That might answer the question.
