For some reason, recently a lot of clothing I have seem to be now ignoring the clothing settings, like how long the sleeves are et cetera, they just do not work.
Keeping in mind that other people see the samething on me:
I've tried re-baking, re-wearing, clearing cache, going into several other sims, trying several other clothes, different skins...
None of this works, it MUST be server side, or some really very strange client bug. =|
Anyone got the same problem?

new clothes?
old clothes?
purchased clothes or clothes you made yourself?
it could be that the actual texture for the clothes are shorter than the slider length
neeed more info... hehe

Okay, it doesn't do the same with anyone else, when I send the same clothing over. But it does the same to my Alt account.
This is bizarre, because everyone can see it. But it's only happening to me.

Try Advanced > Character > Rebake Textures?
Try clearing cache and relogging?
Sound like the textures for the clothes are stuck on your comp.

It may be due to some type of lag. Often when I am putting clothes on my clothes don't show up right away. Also sometimes when adjusting clothes or things in appearance slider it hangs for few moments before showing up. I am not sure if something on server or my isp.

http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/5069/issuehm6.jpgThis is what the test characters look like. And I don't have lag, everything's working fine, except for this clothing issue. And yeah, I did put them back on, same thing happened.

Try physically deleting the cache folder from your hard drive, something may be corrupt.

From: Casey Seifert Also to add reinstalled SL, reinstalled graphics drivers, switched from Vista to XP. Please read before posting... Did you physically delete the Cache folder on your pc? I had a similar issue, with only one pair of short that wanted to be pants. It did not go away no matter how many times I cleared cache and relogged until I physically deleted that folder. And no a re-install will not necessarily delete and re-create the folder. And if that fails, try deleting the entire Application Data folder for SecondLife - though that will also remove your prefs. Eta: /me reminds herself that if she is going to take a long time to actually post a reply she should go back and see if someone already said that.

I'm male, not that it really matters.
Anyway, I've deleted the cache folder by hand, made a new one, tried the seperate XP and Vista installs. Nothing.
The last I used the XP version it was fine. So this must be a server sided bug.

Wired connection.
Single monitor.
I wouldn't bother with this, I'm most certain this is not a problem on my end. I'm sending a ticket.
Keeping in mind other people can see it as well.

let us know the outcome, usually when the avatar looks like the ones you posted it is due to either wireless or really bad network connection, or a dual monitor set up
I would like to know how it gets fixed and what the issue was.

Well, considering this is Linden Labs.
It may take a good few years, as I can't speak to anyone who can do anything about it without being an estate owner, and the ticket system has many unanswered 6+ month old tickets in it.
Every year they cram more and more new features into SL, and break just as many things as well. At least they're being consistent.

This is bizarre, because everyone can see it. But it's only happening to me. Not so bizarre as you think. The way UV map clothes look is actually done on your computer, not on the Linden servers. The reason why others see you the same is, that after the texture is "baked on you" on your computer that picture is uploaded to the SL server, Others will get a download from that to see. This explains also why your alt has it, but others don't. And you'll see it good when others try it, because then it is their computer doing the baking, and you get to see what was uploaded from their computer to SL server - and then downloaded to you. Perhaps this texture is quite large, and is that why it is more difficult.

I've tried different computers, old and new clothes, bought and uploaded myself, before and after this has happened.
There's no direct link to my side.

There's no direct link to my side. See, with this, I'd have also suggested checking the graphic drivers, but as you said, you've tried it on other computers too. I'm checking to see if I can find posts like it here or in Tech and see what happens. Also, you might try checking the JIRA. It doesn't matter whether or not you have payment info on file or not to be able to use THAT.
