Bee stings & death?

Hi All,
Last night I was visiting the MC Escher island when my avatar was swarmed by a few bees. the first time they stayed for a minute and left. When they returned, I was curious and so I just watched to see what would happen. My avatar behaved as if it was being stung! After a minute she was automatically teleported back home and I got a message saying "You died. You were automatically teleported home." This freaked me out a bit! Has it happened to anyone else? Can you tell me more about what it was? How were those bees created and why? I thought that avatars couldn't die?

The sim you were in was probably damage enabled. You can tell by looking at the top tool bar. You will see a heart icon and a % number. 100% means fully healthy. At a certain level, I'm guessing 0% you are considered "Dead" and removed from the sim. It primarily a gaming fearure

I think what you are reffering to is a swarm - some people use it as home defence. It is mostly meant to just be a bit of fun, a variant from a ban line or a security orb, but if you think it has been used inappropriately, and you are sure, report it.

I ran into one of those before. It's so rare to be on damage enabled land that I don't think a lot of people know how to react or are just interested in what will happen next.

I have a bee hive that does just that. It can attack automagicaly, or on command and does require damage enabled land. Back when I useta live inna house, I had it protectin' the interior of the house only. Anyone could wander over my yard, but if they tried ta go into the house.... BEE ATTACK! II should put that back up };^>

On damage enabled land, objects used to kill you are allowed. There is a log on warning to that effect. |

Weel if the land owner has set his land to damage enabled then it's hard to consider anything being inappropriate, or so we ned to put up warning signs to say this is dmage enabled land before someone sues someone for physcogical trauma caused by their avatars "death"?
