Can some one point me to the SL website listing that has what is and is not allowed on a pg sim or as close as SL will define it

I tried search and PG returns nothing (to short i guess ) and pg sim returns a lot of information not pertaining to ratings of the sims them selfs

so no getting undressed curses the days SL lets me half change cloting then and leaves me standing nakked

not sure what i want to do with it i just have it and not sure acutally what to do with it was just some i picked up a while back

might be better off googling PG rating for the Motion picture association then trying to find a non-slippery definition from LL.

Course if you suspect its not PG then likely someone else will AR you for it,

And thats what really counts.

ya as the other post said sex is defiantly a nono, and some violents are to violent, like having body parts falling off like crazy and mass blood may be also classified as Mature

omg I have never laughed so hard. I think that quote was made by a Linden when everyone was trying to figure out what you couldnt do in pg. I couldnt find the thing though so I didnt bother to say so.

What fun that would be though...

Dragger, I don't think you've gotten a serious response because I doubt seriously such a page exists. LL isn't any more likely to post a page that specifies what is and is not obscene any more than they are going to post specifically what is and is not gambling.

What is the difference between PG and Mature land?

Landowners can indicate their land to be either PG or Mature from the Region tab of the Region/Estate window, using the Maturity dropdown list.

The PG and Mature ratings mirror those used by many countries' movie and television industries to denote the age-appropriateness of behavior, language and creations within a given area of Second Life.

PG Areas are designated to be free from sexually explicit language or behavior, swearing and other forms of aggressive language, violent behavior and/or imagery, including horror. In Teen Second Life, "gambling" for Linden Dollars is also prohibited.

Children and young people up to age 17 are automatically restricted to Teen Second Life, a special PG area that separates them from the adult population of Second Life for their own protection.

Adults age 18 and over may seek an experience free of Mature content and so, we also offer PG areas within the adult regions of Second Life.

Mature areas are limited to the adult-accessible areas of Second Life only, and do allow adult language and behavior.
So how do I know where to draw the line?

PG regions have frequently been described as an area where you're free to say and do things that you would feel comfortable doing in front of your grandmother, or a grade school class.

In Mature regions, Residents can be free to engage in more adult activity and language, though of course, explicit adult content must be contained behind "closed doors".

However, if you feel there's some ambiguity as to whether or not your activity or content is allowed in a PG region, it's likely best kept to a Mature region.

Note the above includes an outdated reference to gambling being outlawed in the teen grid, but gambling is now outlawed everywhere.

The rules of the Shelter say that nudity is permitted there as long as it is 'newbie' nudity - i.e. no male attachments or no naked females with detailed skins!

So I wonder if thongs are permitted in PG areas, or minimalist bikinis. What about T shirts with rude slogans or bad language in chat?

I have PG land and I really have no idea. I also have PG land that borders mature land and the mature parcel next door hosts an adult club, which is fine as it's on mature land!

British newspapers will happily print pictures of boobies, so to me boobies are PG.

Indeed, both facebook and Livejournal have banned pictures of nursing mothers in one form or another.
