Help setting up a shop

Ok, I've designed my own clothes, rented a shop with 100 prims of blank floor space, what do I do next?

1) pass items to an alt to check permissions.

2) decide on your store layout and organization

3) design your packaging

4) decide on a vendor system

5) List the store and start planning your marketing

6) Take the time to examine OnRez and list your stuff on OnRez
7) Take the time to examine Slexchange.com and list your stuff on Slexchange.
Use a classified, even cheapest one, and if can't place a classified make sure you have your store in your picks. Many search OnRez/Slexchange and then look in world for stuff by that creator, having store in classified section of profile helps (looking first in classified as likely that is that person's store and not a photo of them and their significant other as would be found in picks).

Take some pictures of your product and post in the NEW PRODUCT forum here, Get your SLX and On-Rez boxes and sell the items online also, STart a open enrollment update group for your store and pass freebies to the members that have your store in their picks on their profile.

Oh, and people only get 25 group slots, so also think about a subscription system. Something like a mailing list and you do not have to use up a group slot. Unfortunately it also doesn't allow you to look at past notices or the like.
