It's White Alright...

A few days into SL I decided I wanted to make white my sl colour. White hair, white clothes, accessories etc. There seemed to be so many dark, gothic outfits in sl and I wanted to be different - veering where possible towards white, silver or light grays.

So has anyone seen any interesting white outfits, white hair styles, white shoes ?

Im also interested in finding a good polar bear avatar (grrrr growlllll ) has anybody seen one ?

I've seen a couple monk outfits that are awesome, and I have freebie prim wings (Feathered) that are white, they look awesome for freebie...

Alot of freebie hair is modify that I have in my inventory anyway and can change color to anything, even white.. hrm... beyond that iono on hair.. find a white afro =P

Most white hair Ive bought so far looks like a badger on my head . Ive stuck with a much loved set of white pony tails bought by a friend since I got here.

Mostly the Panache styles that I have look good.. though I have some pretty wierd freebie stuff anyway lol.. I think I also have a white mohawk in my inventory.. I usually use my Panache WhiteLies Candie Vonta, but red... so I dont know much about hair, sorry... though I can tell you lotsa freebie places lol

This is where SLX's search really shines. Step by step...

Go to SLX and browse the marketplace categories to Men's apparel (I'm assuming you're a guy, but if not, then to Women's apparel). You can also reproduce this in other categories as appropriate.

At the top right is the search box. Click advanced search.

Enter "white" in the search box, and click the checkboxes for 'Search within the current category' and 'Include subcategories'. Click the search button.

At least in men's apparel, I got about 30-40% of items that were all or predominantly white, so this seems a good way to start.

Thanks Ive been through slx and got a couple of nice items...but I thought if any eagle eyed forum readers saw anything good they might alert me to it.

I feel your pain. Many SL residents like to dress in all black for whatever reason. I have no problem with that. I do have a problem, however, with so many clothing vendors featuring the all black goth look. It is totally boring in my opinion but everyone to their own tastes.

You can find white and lighter colored clothing if you look around but it takes a bit of doing.

what is a pain is the fact that I lost some inventory items and cannot for the life of me remember where I got them from. It may sound stupid but I now keep notes about sl in a note book just so I can flick through and see which places sold items which interested me.

I wish the transactions list kept records longer than it does and there was a satifactory way of recording whats in the inventory.

Hey Maelstrom, I am not in world right now to get a LM, but search for Tami McCoy, she has great hair in white, many styles as well.

One of me uses a Grizzly Bear from Werehouse and I'm satisfied with it. Actually, the movements are rather expressive and it makes me laugh frequently. They had lots of choices in white, including Polar Bear. Just search for "Werehouse". (I am not affiliated with Werehouse)

Prices from 750-1200L. 1200 gets you controllable ears & tail.
