fire aura ring

hi i've stupidly rezzed a 6' diameter fire aura ring in my skybox and now I can't seem to get rid of it. I can't find anything in the fire to click onto?....any ideas please?

Ctrl-Alt T to show transparent. Everything turns sort of red and u shd be able to see a small prim somewhere that is emitting it. If that doesn't work make marshmallows

hehe thanks for the typical sl forum sarcastic responses, that i have grown to expect and love.....set myself up for it really......resolved after doing some marshmallows, by calling skybox owner and the only way she could get rid of it, was by moving the skybox to expose a flat ring that was under the floor.........yesh my mum always told me i shouldn't play with fire........................

Something else that can sometimes help you find objects. Under the Advanced menu, under Rendering, there is a 'Hide Selected' option. Turn that on, select your floor for Edit and it will disappear in your view - hold down Ctrl and click other objects to hide them as well. If you then see what you are looking for, zoom in very close and then right-click it for Edit.

From: Amaranthim Talon Love, look at Advance Rendering Types Surface patch too. Something I just learned about. Yes, there are lots of interesting options under the Rendering Types menu - you can pretty much make the entire world disappear.

Sometimes in my house items rez IN the floor prim (not certain why, as it's not a megaprim), it is quite tedious to cam back and forth through the floor looking for them... |

One of the biggest reasons I like Hide Selected - for searching inside and under floors or walls, or any large object.
