Sign for start of race

I want to find a tool which give us sign for start of race. Could you tell me what type of tool I can give in Second Life for this purpose.

What do you mean by sign? Do you mean a visual sign or a sound like a starting pistol?

or do you want it to trigger a timer to start the race and a time for how long you take to complete the race?

If you want a signal to let a group of people know that a race is starting, you could use shouting. This works in a 100 m radius.

Alternatively, you could rez a large object textured with "Go!" or something similar. This works at a distance dependent on the individual client's drawing distance (which may be larger or smaller than 100m).

Well if this is what you need, the best place to ask for this is in products wanted, my level of SL skills don't extend to this.

How about a gesture that you preload before had when everyone is there, that will shout go and play the same clip a few times to make it loud?

Okay - I found this purely by accident. Actually my alt found it. There's a place called Union Micro that has some drag racing lights for L$1. They are scripted, but I believe it takes at least two racers to activate them. My alt could not make them work by himself.
