Does 1.20 Release Candidate tweak avatar lighting (for the better)?

[Theoretically this belongs in some other subforum, but it touches on a topic much discussed in RA... so here 'tis.]

I've been working on a little gizmo that forces me to stare at myself through two different viewers. (The sacrifices we scripters have to make!) Today, kinda by accident, I used one that was 1.19.1 (standard release, including Windlight) and one that was 1.20 Release Candidate (Windlight + Dazzle + kruft). I was surprised to see that I didn't look the same. I checked the graphics settings: identical. I checked other WindLight effects: identical, as far as I could tell. I checked the Release Notes: no mention of a change that I could find.

So... if you've been troubled by how Windlight renders your avatar skin, I recommend checking out the 1.20 Release Candidate to see if you like it better. It looks to me much flatter and more like the avatars looked pre-Windlight.

But maybe I missed a setting somewhere or something, so: anybody see what I'm seeing, or not?

I downloaded it for a peek the day it was released. My avatar still looked like shit without massive tweaking of the settings. And, you know, I had to make the sky ugly to get her OK (not good) looking, so the point of Windlight still eludes me.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.
