Neko fur textures changed to a transparent horribleness

ok so i havent wore my neko look in a while. went to put on my neko shin fur and the once beautiful looking fur is now a crappy looking transparent mess with outlines allover the visible fur texture itself. tried about 4 different brands of neko leg fur i have and they all are the same. contacted a few of the creators of these products and they are having the same issue.

obviously SL (really, when is it never SL?). so my thing is what is LL going to do to fix this cause ummm sorry i dont think its fair they were fine forever and all of a sudden with your new super duper awesome sauce client release update things get borked, again. you broke it LL, so whats your solution to fixing it?

i knowwwww, i knowwwwww you wont make a penny from the fix probably and with that being said you probably stopped reading this post once you saw the "you wont make a penny" part...but being you generate millions of dollars, hey lets actually try and do something out of the kindness of our hearts.

Did you have a question?

(Other than the one to LL, which they won't answer?)

It's right there - 2 paragraph, line 1 - in parentheses :)

The alpha transparency problem has always stopped me from buying any light colored hair that uses a lot of transparency. It's not that noticeable with black hair.

i got a bit angry, but its to the point of rediculousness already whenever LL changes something...they ruin more things than they changed. now thousands of people have horrible looking neko shin fur because they changed something. yet ofcourse they dont care cause hey, people will spend more to get the look back right?

going to my original thing. is there anything i can do to make the texture show up as it did before they nerfed the good ole viewer the last time?

LL...do yous ever answer peoples posts other than the ones that pertain to possibly breaking your silly little grid? i havent seen it yet...amaze me....for once

The alpha sorting issue has been around since SL's beginning. LL has minimized it on occasion, but they can't completely get rid of it. It's a part of OpenGL.

The only way a creator can minimize it is to layer non-alpha textured prims amongst the alpha textured, which doesn't always work for the item they're designing.

If we are talking about the alpha sorting glitch, it's not an SL issue. It's not even and OpenGL issue. It's a technology issue for any graphics rendering engine........someday, someone may fix it. But don't hold your breath......the technology has not been developed yet. Plus all sorts of things have to change before it ever goes away......mainly every game ever made will have to be remade to use whatever that new technology.

But I haven't seen a problem that the OP has discribed......maybe a snapshot?
