I have a sim that I have set to adult verified only access. I am being told by many that they are fully adult verified, complete with adult showing on their preferences under rateing, and yet cannot enter my sim. They see a red wall there.

Is there a bug, or are they trying to pull a fast one?

How have you set adult verified access? If you're using the ridiculously stupid and inept restrict by age verified then yes, it's bugged, it doesn't work, it has never worked and lots of people have never verified and you're cutting off large swathes of the userbase.

Change your sim to adult maturity rating, it restricts access to those who can access adult content but doesn't just rely on the silly age verified option.

Yep there have been more than one thread/post in here about people being unable to get into parcels despite having done the age verify and despite having been okayed there.

So they are not necessarily lying to you.

You have the wrong setting set.

The Adult verified residents only checkbox is not what you want.

Remove that, then simply set the sim rating to Adult. This will have the effect you actually want.

Use the Adult sim rating, as others above have said. And vote for this bug, which proposes the removal of the confusing "age verify" bug cluster altogether:
