The obligatory question here is why? Why was I banned?
I have been banned, from a supposedly public place where all SL users are supposed to feel welcome and any hurt feelings from the forums are not supposed to be carried into this public place.
I don’t understand why I was banned. I can list several suspected reasons:
1. I listed in my Picks that the personality of the place has changed since the new owners took over. I listed that for about two days. I was called on it and I removed it the same day. (within 15 min)
2. Several people were told I said derogatory things about them that I did not say. Many of these people have dropped me as a friend with notice or warning.
3. The present owners are unhappy with me personally for things I posted here in this forum or things that took place prior to the time when I was banned.
4. I left membership of the group that runs this public area after I was threatened. I was not threatened by any of the current leadership but by members of the “inner circle”.
5. I banned members of this “inner circle” from my property. That ban has now been lifted for over a week.
Of course I have no proof or direct reason why I was banned. I am merely guessing.
I repeatedly tried to apologize to the group owner for my past offences. I am truly sorry and I really want to resolve this issue.
I have not violated the TOS.
I have not griefed this location or members of the group in question.
I have not built or rezzed any offending objects in the land owned by this group.
I have not used the notice system to send out any offensive notices. (when I was allowed to send notices)
I think banishment is a bit harsh since far worse things were done to me than my supposed crimes. I am not really seeking anything here except to let people know I think and feel I have been wronged. I am not asking my friends or anyone else to choose sides.
While I have shown poor judgment in the past and I have said or done offensive things I sincerely apologize and seek forgiveness.

If it is a private sim or privately held business and not a Linden run area, then the owners of the privately held space can ban anyone they wish to for any reason under the sun, including "It's Tuesday". But none of us here would have any idea why, unless one of the persons you mention in your post were reading your post.
If it's a Linden issue or a TOS issue, probably ask a Linden, or phone support, but I don't know. If it's a privately held place though, you'd have to take it up with them. |

This is becoming a very frightening little trend here. Honestly, support tickets are currently the only way to address it, and in my case, it took a week for things to be cleared up. (>_<  But, I'm considering, if this ever happens to me again... I'll respond with by using an alt to file a harassment AR to see if I can get attention faster. (=_=) For now, my opinion is that there is a weakness in the Abuse Report process that can be gamed, and it has become the new griefing tool flavour of the month. (T_T) _____________________

I dont understand why being banned from a particular parcel is important. Their's over 25k regions!!! I have no idea if I may be banned from one or several. And if I found I was banned from a location its one I would rather not visit anyway. If Im not wanted at a location its fine with me.
