I'm taking the plunge sold off some stock and tranfering to my account now. If i want to build a minicontinent in time for rental and stores, how do i purchase that on the land grid? how do i know someone won't go buy an isle right next to me on the land grid? what if i wan't a 10x10 island grid eventually but on the land grid you purchase from only has a few blank spots?
What if i wanted 4 void sims instead of 1 normal one to start with? how do you buy a void sim?

You cannot buy openspace (void) sims without having an island first, IIRC. You'd need to buy the island and then the 4 sims. But if you need to expand, I think LL will simply move you to where you have space.

No one can buy a sim right next to yours without your permission.

go to the land store and select an empty spot and it will take you to the order page (as far as memory serves)
no one can buy an island right next to you, there allways is a 1 grid seperating different owners unless mutually agreed to be direct neighbours
when ordering a new island and there is only 1 empty grid space where you want it, LL moves estates to an area where it would for free (only when ordering a new island otherwise it costs money)
void sims you order trough a ticket with the location of where each void is supposed to be placed

From: Trolane Demonia i will be able to terraform thw whole isle into anything i want without supplying a raw file right? yes, it`s the same as every where else and the raw file is just another way of doing it also know that the avatar paying for the island (the one directly to LL) is allways god and can do eveything without being a manager and the only one to be able to reclaim land

From: Trolane Demonia i will be able to terraform thw whole isle into anything i want without supplying a raw file right? It will be VERY worth your time to research the raw file option. I didn't, and the terraforming that I wanted to do was relatively simple. You can always try it the manual way on your first one, but I'm guessing you'll come to the same conclusion that I did. Island #2 will be done with a raw file. And be prepared for a lot of frustration when trying to get the land textures to look like you want. And it's smart to get your stuff in place before you open it up to residents so they don't use all the script resources before you get a chance. (but I'm still glad I got the island)

Another thing to think about if your going to have a 10x10 sim continent is that you might wanna reserve the space in the shape of the continent you want, around your first island now in order to keep someone from building 1 grid space away from your first island and hinking the plan. Unless you want to make your continent "L" shaped. I think the lindens charge $100 per island to move so choose your site well.
You as the private estate owner can terraform it into whatever you want, i.e. flat like a pancake or a giant mountain, its totally up to you.
Remember tho per island you will be paying tier due 30 days of purchase of $295.00 real usd. For 10 islands you would pay $2950.00 every month. Thats a lot to me.

A 10x10 continent would be 100 islands. $29,500/month on top of $167,500 up front. You should probably try to contact one of the larger land barons before you attempt something on that scale. Caledon would be tiny in comparison.

oh i'm startng small, only the 1 island but if things work out i want to expand. Problem is i want to balance renting it out and making a profit with hooking up friends to Not much room on 1 island for all that.
