ok, well maybe not really. But those SL bank owners who have complained and are being shut down, look on the bright side. LL is not saying you have no recourse, you just need to get busy opening your own bank! http://money.howstuffworks.com/bank5.htm http://www.sdreader.com/php/ma_show.php?id=373 http://www.bank-resources.com/land.html?src=google If that doesn't work out for you then: http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=500679 Good luck!

The blog post on SL banks reads; "As of January 22, 2008, it will be prohibited to offer interest or any direct return on an investment (whether in L$ or other currency) from any object, such as an ATM, located in Second Life"
I am sure the bank scammers are working furiously to provide 'interest' on deposits in some other form. Like free land and products.
the banks should merge with WSE and MetaCard . Clean everyone out in a month and get it over with.

From: Ponzi Benazzi Anyone wanting to start a bank please contact me for a banking license. What's the fee on that? And how much interest do I get in return? In return here's my favorite http://www.apfn.net/Doc-100_bankruptcy14.htm

L$ 100 for one license. L$ 175 for 2 licenses (in case LL doesn't accept the first one). Printed on re-cycled paper (the paper's not actually re-cycled. we use licenses that got returned so you may have trouble reading the print).

You're not allowed to sell lienceses in Second Life because it could undermine the virtual economy. You're also not allowed to walk around naked because such an inexpensive lifestyle also has a considerable impact on the economy.
