As of writing this today 10-15-07 my crab and skeleton are still missing...at this point I am assuming that they are gone for good, at least one came home to me..his limb never grew back tho.

It was brought to my attention by someone whose name I will not mention..T.W. that Raymond really likes crabs..and pies..and panties.... is it possible that he snatched up my crab, turned it into pie and is hiding it in his panty drawer??

I've been put off crabs and all P words since witty banter started getting bashed on this forum. Now I exist solely to answer questions in as serious a manner as I can muster.

The solution to your crab issue: buy the copy version at Supa Shang's aquarium store.

Yes.

Whoops, that was just witty banter. The serious answer is "piss off".

Hey there!
As I stated in this thread, the asset servers tend to fail us from time to time due to high concurrency. If you havent already; try clearing your cache and reloging (preferances > networking > clear cache > relog)

After you try clearing your cache, and still nothing, try submiting a ticket for a professional walkthrough on how to retreive your inventory!

Raymone has your crabs? That explains why he scratches himself so much. :(

/me hands Raymond a bottle of crab shampoo.

I dont know about your skeleton Lexii, but regarding your crab, maybe this is worth a thought? My crab, Crusty, had a lovely time walking about my beach, then one day he disappeared. I searched for him but couldnt find him, and after about a week, I was walking along my beach and noticed something wedged into some of the sand. It was Crusty, on his side, wedged into a tiny crevice (that I wasnt aware of - and which maybe I caused by shifting my land). He wasnt at all happy, and I managed to catch hold of him, and put him the right way up and off he went mumbling a bit.

However, since then, he does have a slight problem. He keeps walking about upside down! I put him the right way up and he is ok for a while, but then he is upside down again. I have taken him back to my inventory and then rezzed him again a couple of times, but still this happens. I am not sure if its because he got wedged on his side for so long, so maybe a bit confused, but someone did tell me that the sim we live on, has a huge number of scripts running and that is probably why he turns himself upside down.

Anyway, perhaps it might be worth looking for unknown crevices in your land, your crab just might be there. Not sure where a skeleton would try to hide though!!!

Aww poor Crusty! Did you try explicitly reseting his script? Some scripts don't reset on rez. You can do this even if he's non-mod ... I'm not inworld, but I think if you edit him and right-click on his script in contents, you see a 'reset' option? Something like that.

THAT is one thing I didn't think of checking... with the way my land it set up, I am willing to bet there are lots of crevices and what not that he may be trapped in.. I will be sure to look at every inch of my land..Thanks!

On a side note... I was shopping last night and a kind stranger gave me crabs...I was soooo thrilled..I ran home and released them...so far so good..they stayed put. :D MAYBE having the new crabs will lure the old one back home out of curiosity..or jealousy *shrugs* either way...that random act of kindness renewed my faith in the people of SL..he knows who he is..to him, again I say.... You made my night..Thank You!

It's a little bit easier to look at none of your land: Ctrl-Alt-Shift-5 toggles "surface patch" (terrain) off and on. Objects just below ground level become instantly unhidden when you use this. Oh, you need the debug menu (Ctrl-Alt-Shift-Splat-Apple-Meta-D) to use the surface patch toggle.

Malachi, I should point out that a head janitor's job, at least in UK, is to shuffle about, with a broom over your shoulder, some fire exit signs tucked under the elbow and a pocketful of drawing pins, mumbling incoherently about the "youf of today". You're being far too helpful here!

3 points for 'Splat-Apple-Meta' though. ;)
