I just tried to rezz an object, and it disappeared without a word. Cleared cache....nada. Not in Lost and Found. Not in Inventory anywhere. Not under the cushions. Gone.
Has anyone else had this happen recently, and if so, did it ever come back? (Please tell me it came back!)
/me thanks the clever people dejectedly....

Did you look inside another prim? In case edit was enabled or such.. also, the other day i managed to rez a skirt under the floor of the castle... try turning on wire mesh- it's in advance, someone else will tell u specifically as i am not in to check it and dont recall.

I'd have thought that a sapiosexual would have better ways to thank the clever people than dejectedly?

From: Aebleskiver Thibedeau Prims going AWOL It's just the latest SL rebellion. No worries though cuz nobody/nothing ever really stays gone - they all come back eventually.

That is an intermittent bug. Usually the prim will show back up - sometimes takes 5 minutes, sometimes a day or more.

From: Ee Maculate I'd have thought that a sapiosexual would have better ways to thank the clever people than dejectedly? /me looks over the top of her glasses rather severely. Being sapiosexual means smart people turn me on. Know of any? My little lost prim returned home again, wagging its tail behind it-- much to my relief! Those Bit and Bobs poseballs are too dear to lose to the ether!

When this has happened to me in the same way you describe, i logged out and logged back on the advice of someone else who had used that solution. The item was in my inventory when i logged back in. pHEW

Sometimes they won't come back for months. Also they may comeback under a different name. Clear your cache and check your lost and found folder every now and then. I had a bed come back to my lost and found folder but it was named "ball 1" and not the bed name because one of the pose balls was rezzed on it when it poofed... Luckily I rezzed it to see what "ball 1" was and it was the entire bed.... I lost an A/O a few months ago and it finally retured... I lost a collar a few weeks ago and still no sign of it...

Hows this for a loss
01-02-2009 14:05
I've lost, in one shot, over 1,000 items from my inventory and noting (reloging, clearing cache, re-installing, even logging on from a different PC) would bring them back. Some of the items were pricey no-perms stuff so it really hurt. Then one day, about 6 months later, they were all back. No explanation -- did not do anything different that day than any other. I just logged in and there they were. I, for one, do not think SL is getting more stable -- I tend to believe it is going the other way.
