One or more parts of it are no transfer. It could be a prim, texture, script or animation, probavbly that you got from someplace and used in your item.

Go through each prim in your link set and check the properties for full permissions. If you find one that is not then go the the texture that you used in your library/inventory and right click on it to check those permissions. Something in the set is set to no transfer or something like that. If any scripts are used.....do the same.

Slightly shaded but checked sounds like what you get if you set the object to no copy. In other words, it looks like that because you aren't allowed to turn off transfer if copy is disabled. Try giving someone a copy (perhaps your own alt; if you don't have one, go make one, they're really helpful for testing stuff you want to give out or sell) and see if a) you are able to transfer it and b) how the permissions look on the other side.

I have had about the same thing. Cause was that 1 item in the link set was no-copy. As soon as I took the complete link set into inventory and rezzed it later, all prims were impossible to transfer or sell.
What I learned from it: Set all permissions for your prims the same way (lets say modify-transfer). Then link the set and save it to inventory. Finally add, if needed, the 1 prim with other permissions. Link the new set, put it up for sale, and set the correct permissions for the complete item. So far this seemed to work. _____________________
