I crashed earlier and when I tried to log back in I had to do the update.. well.. everything went fine.. I did the update, got in SL and things were working great UNTIL 20 minutes ago..out of nowhere black boxes showed up around every avi I see.. I sent a pic I took to a friend to see if he saw it also.. he doesn't see it... anyone have any idea what would be causing this?? I updated my driver less than a week ago.. this is crazy...

I guess it could be an info display that has been turned on. Try checking in advanced->render->info displays. Maybe you activated it by pressing a certain combination of keys.
