What are peoples opinions on the Hottest skins in SL

Has anyone seen some really good skins in SL lately? Any recommendations? For a female skin?

depends what kind of skin youre after. some skinners do certain styles better than others.
there was a really good thread about this here in the ra forum recently. maybe someone will recall what it was titled.

I don't think you can go wrong with these three, but it depends what you're looking for. They're good places to start looking.

I am a Naughty junkie, for sure, I feel weird in anything else! I have noticed that RAC have some awesome and very realistic skins out now! But yes, Naughty are and always will be my fav!

Starley's (Celestial City) skins are generally considered to be very good (although personal taste is still the most important factor ). She's also having a sale up until tomorrow so you might want to stop by there and see if there's anything you like and get a bargain .

I read somewhere that ALOT of the community considers lovely (or it could be lovey, I'm not looking at my landmark) to make the most beautiful skins. They are gorgeous.

I prefer D-Skin's skin now though. It's very simplistic, but looks amazing.

I'm an RaC fan, myself.

Naughty, Sin Skins, RAC are my personal favorites.

Celestial (vogue and charmed) and Nomine are my very favorites

Although personal preference counts for EVERYTHING when it comes to skins, I think the Evie skin from Second Skin Labs, is one of the most inspiring pieces of art you can see in SL.

Worth bearing in mind, that how the shape inetracts with the skin, is an important consideration.

I have too many skins and wish I had taken my time in buying them when I first started.. because now I hardly use anything but those 3.

I'm very happy with my L$1000 Celestial Studios skin - even their freebie Malibu Passport one is better than many other costly skins.

I think those skins make the men avies look YUM!

My favourite skin is one that (surprisingly) doesn't get a lot of attention: Pixel Deep. I've tried out demos from all of the big names, and none of them have worked as well for me. Its definitely the only skin I've found that works almost equally well on all of the different shapes I have for my avatar, as it is soft without being too simplistic. The only quibble I have with it is that personally I prefer thinner and less glossy lips. Other than that, its perfect.

Its also very competitively priced as a single skin includes 5 makeups (or rather, 4 makeups and one natural) and 6 different brow colours. Plus, the skintone is modifiable.

I also quite like Skin Within, though as they're photosourced, I find it much harder to get them to work on an avatar who doesn't have similar features to the face it was photosourced from.
