Hello.
I use a iMac usual and also to play Second Life...i hear about some programs that allowed to have more than 1 Avatar Online...but i only find for windows.

Anyone knows if theres any program that allowed me to create others avatars to make traffic and keep Online if my main avatar is offline and Second Life viewer off.

Note: I dont use Emerald, i use iMAC, i need a program to let avatars 24h online.

Please help on this. THX.

An iMac is your machine, emerald is a client (which can run on an iMac), so "I don't use emerald, I use iMac" makes no sense.

As to the main question, you do not need to use boot camp to run multiple avatars. Just put the --multiple flag in arguments.txt in the 'resources' folder (right click the client and use 'show contents').Torley has a video and instructions (scroll down the page) at:

Here's a cheatsheet with keyboard options, including Mac key combinations:
http://www.kippiefriedkin.com/resources/secondlife-viewer-cheatsheet.pdf

Open the Advanced menu - Ctrl-Alt-D (PC ) / Ctrl-Opt-D (Mac)
Go to Character, then Character Tests and click to remove the x against the Go Away/AFK when Idle.

That stops your avatar - main or alt - logging off SL so you can stay online for your 24h +.
If you minimise the programme in Windows that overrides this setting and you will get logged off. I don't know if the same happens on a Mac.

Hi, take a look at this:

http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-375739

My group, Virtual Ability hosted an Assistive Technology class, for both Windows and Mac users, and it will be repeated again tomorrow, Wednesday (but at 6am SLT) lol maybe you can make it. It's not only for disabled users but for anyone who has questions about the non-obvious features of Mac and Windows.
