I'm asking in order to subscribe to some YouTube accounts. Or channels. Whatever you call the things you subscribe to in YouTube.

Me neither.

I have a YouTube account, but it's sort of in my RL name and no videos. It just allows me to subscribe to my friends' channels. Mari's is pretty cool. I suppose I could start one for Weston - CBS (Canine Broadcasting System). Hey - that might be fun!

No benefit at all. It's another example of teh "continental drift" between the metaverse and reality. Keep them separate. Youtubing with sl brings all the avis we encounter that little closer to the real person.

Why don't people "compartmentalize" any more?

Isnt Torley one of the people who works for Lindens? Why would I wanna be linked to the workforce? I might as well have my bank manager as my facebook pal or Youtube chum-to-watch.

Dont get me wrong, they do a decent service as far as I'm concerned but lets keep a perspective on who we are in real and would we really wanna get any closer to the "management" or anyone else? It's just a thing I'm noticing - the move to combining all of us on a great big multilevel car park of friendship and nosiness. No thanks!

none of my own or anything; just collections of fun shtuff... :) i like the 'channel' vibe of it; lol often i half-fantasize about programming my own tv/cable channel. ;0 scifi (oh, i'm sorry, SYfi ;0) really needs to ditch a good amount of all that 'original programming' and start showing late-night movies more, of the 'silent running/darkstar/wizards' variety...

The Torley Linden youtube films are all cool stuff. I have a TV in my noob freebie help area that just plays these films on demand. The noobs love them. And the new videos cover alot of stuff we olbies may not be too familiar with.

Perhaps this is a good place to ask a question regarding youtube streams into SL
I asked torley about this but all he said was to used another program other than youtube to stream into SL.
I can stream a youtube video into my island ok,i can see it but my problem is my partner can't
She can see anything else on the screen,(movies,tv shows,streams from flickr) but not youtube.
Would anyone know the reason she can't see a youtube video on the screen.
The island is group owned,i have deeded the screen to the group and have "share with group" checked,she has the group activated,has the latest version of quicktime

I have one, but all it has in it are two rather poor attempts at doing a video tour of the RUCE 2 Rutgers campus in SL. The lack of decent software for making Machinema made it not worth the effort to keep using the account to upload anything new.
