Emotes... a newbie question, I suppose.

Hi. Would someone tell me how to find information on emotes? That is, "/me ....". I looked in a couple of books and searched and... ... ... well, I am a blonde!

Thank you.

What information are you looking for, exactly?

Custom emotes are as simple as typing /me followed by however you want the emote to go, on a new line. For example, typing:

/me looks at you with a quizzical expression on her face.

will return:

Katheryne Helendale looks at you with a quizzical expression on her face.

Like Katheryne said, you can type in /me, and some words in your chat bar and the text will show up with your name without the colon. So essentially it's like speaking in the third person and is used as a way to be more expressive in chat that might make a conversation more interesting or expressing an emotion or action.

/me says he didn't really get how emotes were used when he first started either.

/me hopes that answer was helpful :)
