So I am checking everywhere to try and understand what group liability is and cannot find a concrete answer. What is it? why is money being taken out of my own group to .. [I don't even know where the money is going] .. and it says 'group liability'. So what is this about? and how do I remove it from me and my members?

As far as I know you cannot remove it from the owners. It is a good idea to make sure your members aren't paying it though. Look in the Members/Roles tab and make sure the box where it says "Pay group liabilities" is not ticked for your member roles.

If you have set your group land to "Show in Search", then LL is taking out L$30 per week per parcel and charging it to the group. Any members who have the group ability to share in liabilities pay a share.

I see. It is just that I did not see that before. Ok, then I will remove the group from the search. Does that mean only the group in the search or the land as well?

It doesn't matter if the group is visible in search. It's the land. If the land owned by the group is visible in search, that's where the $30/wk is coming from.
