Actually It can be identical, just a rehash of a build (Make each prim the same as another object) but use different textures. as long as it dose not use anything you yourself created.

Not to mention what you have created is not remotely original to begin with.

Is this guy copying you? Probably not, unless the necklace is absolutely identical. "key to my heart" is a common enough phrase, and a nice theme for a necklace. I have seen several RL "key to my heart" designs as well. In my inventory I have three subtly different necklaces with two overlapping hearts ... I don't think any of them are direct copies of the others, it's just a popular idea for a necklace. There is nothing new under the sun, and all that ...

If you are convinced that this guy HAS made a direct copy of your work, prim for prim, you could file a DMCA, although I believe those are generally used in cases where it can be shown that someone has stolen your textures or animations or something in order to copy your work.

Sorry but I live in the boonies and don't get out enough to know what is available in rl or how many or what all has even been done in here... but the style of it was...well.... it's just sooooo so. Be very very careful ccusing someone of stealing your work. I can understand that seeing something similar to your own can be shocking and upseting and mayeven make you angry. But it is better to approach that person in a calm and coversational manner to ask about the item rather than accusing them.

I was accued by someone of stealing their work a while ago, our items were similar but far from the same item. However instead of contacting me they informed their group of me and suggested all of his group IM me to tell me what they thought of me.

This resulted in many ARs from me abotu eachindividual as well as the creator who had an issue.

Sometimes I wish people would take the time to actually trycommunicating with one another.

Ohh and as to the key to your heart stuff? I also have a similar necklace I made yonks ago (never sold though.. it was a once off for my partner) Was even called the key to Ec's Heart

I agree with this. If content makers actually spoke with one another instead of assuming that everyone else is a thrief, then we would all have a better time of it.
