Since 12th of this month I have been having rejected or "couldnt connect" errors when trying to buy lindens through the client. My paypal has same credit card and it works no prob.

best thing to do in this case is to delete the current payment info and enter the same information again. It does help, I had to do it once.

You will need to call the billing number, it is listed on the support portal page.

I had a similar problem but it was because i had reached my monthly billing limit with LL via paypal so i reset the limit in my paypal account with LL and have had no problems since

From the knowledgebase:

My Paypal is ok, but it's still failing. Could it be your Monthly Maximum limit?

By default, there is a monthly maximum limit of US$250.00 set by Paypal.

To change it:

1. Log into Paypal.
2. Click the My Account tab.
3. Click the Profile subtab.
4. Under the Financial Information section, click Pay List.
5. Click the Linden Research agreement.
6. In the Bill Term section, click Edit Billing Limit.
7. Enter the total maximum dollar value you want to set.
8. Click Save.
