Dumb question maybe.....But I never tried so I don't know, hehe
My friend wants me to help him landscape which I am thrilled to do, and some of my ideas are going to involve a little bit of terraforming..... He is the type that says "you do it" when things are explained to him. LOL He's allowed me to move his objects while I do this for him...so I can place plants and rocks and so on..... (yeah, I would never recommend that to anyone either, allowing someone to edit their stuff..... but I'm not some psycho freak out to destroy anyone's stuff...just want to clarify lol)
Anyway....part of my design plan for his land requires terraforming....only a wee bit.....but there's probably no way he'll do it if I try and explain what needs to be done....so.....can he allow me to terrafrom on his land temporarily??

Yes. If it is group owned he can give you a group role allowing you only to edit terrain. Otherwise it is an option under the options to allow others to edit terrain. P.S. If he doesn't ever try it himself he will never learn. Tough love is needed there I think.

Yes,he just needs to turn on edit land in the land permissions window.Note: anyone will be able to edit when this is checked, make sure he turns it off after you are done.

Ok....I thought that might be the case, so absolutely if I do this for him I will make sure he un-checks that option when I'm done. LOL I'd love to try the 'tough love' approach with this guy.....but we're talking serious A.D.D. here..... if I had a good 5 hours to spend coaching him thru it.....it might happen...but the more likely outcome is that one of us will wind up launched off the sim long before the land even gets touched. LOL
