I've been unable to login to Beta SL since before the scheduled mainentance on Saturday. Each time I try, I get the message: "Login failed. Second Life is temporarily closed for maintenance. Logins are currently restricted to employees only."
My most recent attempt was Sunday 5:23pm SLT, and I got the same result.
Are others experiencing the same problem? Thanks.

It seems to have been down for 3 to 4 days now. I have been trying several times a day too.

Same here, I D/Loaded the beta viewer about 4 days ago and have not been able to get on yet either. Most annoying when you get the message saying its down and to check the "status" page, which only has the status for the live grid and nothing at all about the beta one. Ah well, one day it will be there.

The blog announcements don't make sense
09-16-2007 20:21
What's so strange is that there were announcements this weekend about the beta grid going offline for maintenance on Saturday and being back in service:
"we will be doing essential electrical maintenance work at our co location facility in San Francisco that requires us to take the Beta Second Life offline for the duration of the process....The electrical maintenance before scheduled for Friday is now due Saturday, the 15th, starting at 9:00 PM PDT (4:00 GMT)"
But I tried logging into the Beta Grid about 12 hours BEFORE the scheduled maintenance and got the "closed for maintenance" message.
And the following just doesn't seem to make any sense whatsoever, at least as far as the Beta Grid is concerned:
"[UPDATE] 1:23 AM PDT 09/16/07] The maintenance work originally scheduled for Friday evening and rescheduled for tonight has concluded. All affected hardware is back in service and hosting regions again."
...but we still can't login to the Beta Grid.
