Formal LSL training

I know that I can probably learn how to script by myself in due time.

But I rather follow a more direct approach. I was wondering if there are good LSL trainers out there willing to give some scripting classes.

In another life I used to be a programmer, so I know the basics.

Can anyone point me out in the right direction?

There are in-world LSL scripting classes, just use the search tool.

If you want some hard-core 1-on-1 tutoring, there are folks whom you can pay for their time to teach you. Post a request for one in the employment opportunities forum.

Thank you Toy, I wasn't able to find that list before :-)

I am still looking for something different from a mentor. I would request mentor's help when I get to the point of actually being able to write something :-p

i am trying to find someone that knows LSL and has experience teaching it in a condensed and straight way. Kind of an LSL bootcamp :-)

@ Talarus: Thanks for the suggestion, I will check the employment page and the training events.

@ Shadow: I previously downloaded that guide, it is pretty good. But I need more.

Try NCI or other such in world education groups/areas that hold SL classes. The NCI classes are very basic and are a good start if you want the absolute basics for beginner script writers. If you have script writing experience you may want to look a more advanced classes at NCI or other places.
