Ignored AR's - How do I escalate?

Not sure how to handle this:

I have a small parcel that has Protected Linden Waterway (Gov Linden owned) on three sides and a sim boundry on the 4th.

One of the protected waterways is effectively blocked by a neighbors deck which extends across most of it. On the sim boundary side, the neighbor there has a set of spotlights with high glare that extend way over my parcel. They not only encroach my parcel, they encroach a different sim than they are in, even though they could easily be rotated and remain completely on the owners parcel.

I have been filing AR's on each of these encroachments for over a month now, with good screen shots showing property lines, probably a dozen each at least. While they both clearly violate the land use part of the TOA, they remain. I have received nothing in response except the basic form email.

All I would really like is the spotlights to remain on the owners parcel and linden waterway clear for anyone in the area to use. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how, or to whom, I might escalate this issue and get these encroaching objects moved or returned? I

Thanks

DRD

Perhaps someone will advise on possible alternatives for you, but I'd suggest having one or two friends AR them as well. I've heard it said that ARs from more than one person about the same thing works better than just one person's AR.

Try talking to Live Chat and see if they can do anything. Mention you've filed many ARs and nothing has been done, while these things are still encroaching YOUR land.

I would write off anything that goes on Linden owned land, however.

I'm assuming you are premium since you are on mainland. You could try opening a support ticket > Land and Region issues > Contact Public Works and then let them know about the encroachment. Then maybe open another one under Land/Parcel issues and then go into a live chat. At least that way you could speak to someone.

All good suggestions...

Thanks, I will definately try the ticket and live chat suggestions and

(DR whistles to all his friends and points at deck - "Isn't that outrageous... would you be so kind as to AR it for me... " )

As to the linden land blockage, I put an airport that encroached a linden waterway, even though it was at 500m and impacted no one, it got returned within a few days, so I know they will act on these, it just appears that as was stated, only one resident filing AR's gets no notice.

Per Jack Linden, send in a support ticket on the issue rather than an AR. From my own experience, this does get the issue taken care of -- but the Linden who is handling the support tickets might get testy and say "you should send an Abuse Report."

I had a neighbor blocking a Linden waterway with those huge rocks and waves. I put in two AR's with no response.

When I asked if maybe his blockage was legal in a group chat, a bunch of people swarmed over and AR'ed the blocker and the next day the waterway was again clear :)

If you find out, let us know!

To give you an idea, there is a problem that affects the entire sim I live in. It has been ARed plenty of times (I lost count how many of them were solely my repeats) by at least dozens of people. Support tickets have been filed. Lindens known personally have been contacted in hopes they could get someone to look at our tickets. The only Linden response?

"Wait for a response from the g-team."

So I guess the one that gave me the "file an AR" response (plus adding the g-team bit for a bit of flair) when I did exactly that should be named Testy Linden instead? :)

I've never had an AR on its own work in these situations, but I file them anyway, and then open a support ticket in which I say that I've already submitted an AR. I've had success with that approach.

that was the response I received from Live Chat after I sent an AR and support ticket on a security orb problem. I eventually called on the phone....twice...to find someone who helped. The optimistic point being they finally did help, but AR's seem useless indeed, too long of a delay.

Update for those interested

Since these last suggestions were offered, I have:

Opened a ticket - No responce at all
Dropped a detailed notecard to Jack L - No Responce at all
Dropped a detailed notecard to Blue L - No Responce at all

I have no idea how I got on the "screw this guy, ignore him" list, but it most certainly seems that I have.

not to worry, I think their process for getting an AR or support request is something like this:

Default
{
AbuseReport(key ReporterID, key AbuserID, string IncidentRegion)
{
integer FileIt = 0;
if (IsFIC(AbuserID))
{
FileIt = 0;
}
else
{
FileIt = 1;
}
if !(IsEstateManager(ReporterID))
{
FileIt = 0;
}
else
{
FileIt = 1;
}
if (ReportedNumberTimes(AbuserID,IncidentRegion) < 1000)
{
FileIt = 0
}
else
{
FileIt = 1;
}
if (FileIt == 0)
{
llIgnore(AbuserID);
}
else
{
// sigh
llInstantMessage(ReporterID,"your report on " + llKey2Name(AbuserID) + " in " + IncidentRegion + " is being invesigated";);
llIgnore(AbuserID);
}
}
}

AR's and tickets are not worth the words we type.We have concrete proof of breaches and lindens do nothing yet if you make unsubstansiated allegations about a resident and use key words that alledge a resident is involved in socially forbidden activities lindens then act and the good name of a good person gets covered in mud.Sorry just venting after two bad experiences

On one of my trips around of the edge of Corsica continent, I came across two prim beaches that blocked passage. I had to use Edit to get my boat past them.
I ARed both of them.
When I came back two hours later, both had been zapped.

I must have struck lucky.

When all else fails you can always use 'tit-for-tat' although this only works if the offender actually uses their land.

For the dock: extend something of your own over theirs.
For the lights: I expect a megaprim wall with an animated texture (transparent on your side) would get their attention :)

I don't think that's a helpful suggestion.

Somewhere I heard someone say, "two wrongs don't make a right." Not sure where, though...
