So what's next, everyone had enough stability yet?

It's been dull nothing new happening, things aren't necessarily fixed but it seems new viewer development on the main viewer and Snowglobe has come to a halt. What's the next big thing, can we have some new scripting functions, or avatar mesh?
Where's 1.24? Is it now dusted due to the 2010 MegaViewer?
What are we looking forrward too in the MegaViewer, does it have any new cool stuff like new avatar meshes or Shadows? Or is it just more user friendly for newbies?
What guns are we planning to use when Blue Mars gets out of Beta to keep existing residents and perhaps score a few from there as virtual world get pushed on the online public.

Snowglobe actually has had lots of updates but you might not be aware of them unless you sign up for the developers mailing list. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/SnowglobeIt's currently on 1.2.0.2680, September 02, 2009. DL link to that version on the wiki as well as the mailing list. I don't know most of the stuff the mailing list is talking about and only pay attention when it says "successful build" and the email will have a dl link. This seems like the most current way to stay on top of new Snowglobe builds, as the RC version links on the wiki seems to updated on a hit and miss basis.

Hmm that explains why I haven't seen an update since 1.1.2.2584, I was expecting the "the is a later version of your viewer available" as that's what happend last time Snowglobe updated, I wonder how many others are in the same boat, I haven't seen any posts on the blog either.

Ya I expected the "update your rc version of the viewer" messages as well but one day when i was looking at the Snowglobe wiki, I noticed there were later versions of it. The sldev list is where you'll get notified of latest successful builds ... I think you just hit the link on the wiki and it asks for your email addy. You will get some developer type gibberish I don't understand in the least, but just look out for the "successful build" emails in the header and it will include a dl link for your OS. I've tried lots of other viewers but Snowglobe just works really well and fast on my system so I'm sticking to it. They actually seem to release new builds every week or two ... couldn't really tell you exactly what has changed as there doesn't seem to be release notes but I just care that it works well for me!!

I would be freaking extatic if they would spend two weeks and actually finish windlight. I.e. allow parecel onwers to actually set the atmosperic effects for their own builds!
How utterly USELESS is it to set preferences that only you see?
Every parcel has the exact same weather. BORING. Windlights promise has gone compeltely unfulfilled.
All that work for pretty much nothing because they couldn't be bothered to finish making the settings parcel permament, the EASIEST part of the whole thing!
