Hi All, I run a 2 week realistic sleepover children camp in SL every season (To get an idea, this is the autumn video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9iNjwMy8eU & winter http://blip.tv/file/644772/) So about 100 kids spend 2 weeks at this camp...in which we have many events each day but on the off times it could become boring, so I am looking for maybe new games that are out or fun products. For example, last season we had indoor skydiving. So I am looking for something fun. Let me know if you have a product that might fit in for a summer camp or know of one! Thank you ahead of time!

Hey now, I'm gonna be goin to dat camp. 'sides, did't you jes shoo me outta another thread? :-)

I wish there was some way to have soap box races, m'self. Like build the car, then race it.

I have a horseshoe set somewhere in my inventory, too dat I ain't messed with. Yours if ya want it. Abranimation frisbees are fun. I also jes got the hopper from Sine Wave which is way way fun - but dat's more individual fun.

I'm so bringin' Robin's primsicles, too.

There's probably a few other things. Lemme think on it an dig into my inventory a bit. :-)

If you need anyting, jes hollar!)

Ooh! An what about archery!

I have a fairly new, 1-2 person, free-to-copy boat if you need them, too.

Also, don't forget Autumn Camp, where it seems half the camp was having fun jes playin inside cardboard boxes.

(I wish I had the skill to come up with some way to do proper camp singalongs in SL, too)

Those two videos are great. Thanks for sharing them, Jill. Almost made me want to get a child av myself; I couldn't stop smiling all the way through.

The only thing I can think of is maybe the 7 Seas Fishing game, providing you can get it so the kids don't have to pay for rods or bait. It's a lot of fun trying to get all the weird stuff like old bicycles, and the blueprints that help you make the weird stuff into something cool. Not to mention the fact that you can 'wear' the fish ;)

@ Toy - I didn't see you sign up :O IM me in game and I will add you to the waiting list!

@3Ring, No problem..it happens. I will edit my original post so it is more clear.

@Marianne- I already have a shopping list which includes both Robins Primsicles! Shes a genius!..and Mr Gattz thinks that soap box races are a great idea..so would horseshoes!

@Skell...Thank you for the nice comment...it is a wonderful thing. Its nice for the kids to have a full sim in which they could just be a kid and not have to worry about all the negative stuff that surrounds them! Your welcome if you make a kid avie lol or if you want to be a camp counselor :) As far as fishing goes, you bet..we have 7 seas fishing...I wouldn't have it any other way. Seven is a wonderful person and amazing builder/scripter! So I have all the arcade stuff too!

Keep those ideas coming :) hehe..I know they are out there but I just cant find them!

I've seen some sim puzzle game type thingies (clearly I don't know what they're really called) where one finds different things and a HUD or attachment records the parts as you go. Maybe someone has a scavenger hunt kit that does this.

Dag! Now I want to learn how to make one of those myself.... :D

Come on down to Carnivale in Venusian SIM:) Kids are welcome, and I hope to make it one of the "Happiest places on the grid". I just sent out a casting call for a live circus act, perhaps I can have one lined up by the time this happens. But I have rides and games, tonnes of prizes, all free. You are most definately welcome. And I have the whole sim, its mainland so it maxes at 40 people.

i could have easily viewed the utube links and found out for myself, but i rarely rarely follow a utube link and assumed it was some RL thingy. my bad, not yours.

JD Mechanical Toy Factory sells a mouse racing game (i have it and could donate it) .. the catch is you gotta buy a 20 L mouse to race, but i can donate some of those too. It's really fun, and plus you can make it into a mini scavenger hunt and hide cheese and stuff for kids to find, feeding it to their mouses makes it run faster ^_^

JD Mechanical sells a 'shooting gallery' too with tin-animals to shoot, but.. i dunno how many people will feel it's not PG enough for kids, even though i know in RL some kids go real hunting with their parents. And these are just tin animals with fake guns like at a local fair might have. But still maybe not appropriate, i dunno!

Mari's soapbox car idea sounds great, too bad this is not really possible, i don't think. or at least not easy peasy. Hmm!

Also, Retarded Troglodite makes a free version of the "sky pen". It least you write in the air in mouselook. With temp-prims that disappear after like a minute. It writes all rainbowy.. but anyways.. but since it's free and full perm all the kids could have one.. and maybe they could be used to play a game similar to like "Pictionary" or somethin'. Or Scribble Charades. Since you just use mouselook and write in the sky you don't hafta know how to build or nothin...

And.... i'm curious, can any kid enroll? Is enrollment already filled up?

I'm not a big ol; huge fan of guns an stuff, but dat sounds fine t'me.

Shouldn't be too too touch. There's some car scripts are freebies. I know we made cars with 'em in about an hour in Kid Scouts. Could even have a pre-prepared drive train an let kids build on it, too.

Reginstration filled up way way fast, but I tink there's a waiting list someone can maybe get on. I tink it's age 4-12, an the counselors is older.

Mari, i got it from a friend, but i'll drop you a copy in world, since looking up the creator's profile doesn't lead me to a landmark store, but it does say right in the profile that they make stuff they intend to be free for all.

AND! poo about camp being filled up. i am seven and i was rully curious about this. Although i don't really hang out in innerkid circles in SL so it's probably not surprising that i miss out on all sorts of neat things to do.

We have elven drums in the forest, tai chi. meditation and yoga, an arcade, art galleries a RL model of a "green" home built on world by a RL builder...im sure this is more...but those are things that come to mind...let me know if you need any help at all...
