I'm currently merging two of my sims and won't need the second one for anything big, i was wondering if any of you heard of a way to get a private sim converted in an openspace (void) sim ?

your question doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but I'm going to presume your intention is to use the prim count from two SIMs on one, then you should know that that cannot be done.

If you mean that you want to convert a full prim sim, to a low prim sim, you should be able to do it, but you can not do a one for one conversion. You will have to make your one full prim sim, into 4 low prim sims.

Thats the way it has always been - not sure however if the new policy of allowing single low prim sim purchases changes the above, but you can certainly try. I would recommend you call concierge and ask them, or, just submit your request via a support ticket, and hopefully it will happen for you. Just be sure to detail the grid space you want the four low primmers to be placed at.

this is what i was meaning, sicne i'm moving the stuffs from my two half empty sims into one, there isn't much reasons for me to pay for an extra full prim sim when it' is going to sit mostly empty or for experiments.

File a support ticket? Assuming your full-sim doesn't exceed the prim-allowance for an open-space sim then I don't see why you shouldn't be able to, you can buy them individually now after all, and you meet the requirements for one (you need to have at least one full-sim).

Right - sell it. You should be able to get $500 good dollars for it :)

You can convert a normal sim into 4 openspace sims. I inquired about that yesterday, and I was told by concierge services that it takes 10 to 15 days and is charged 100US$ (and VAT doesn't apply). You just file a concierge ticket.

Adding to that: and then you can sell 3 of them to people who already own full prim sims and only keep one for yourself, getting some money back and pushing down your monthly fees :)

Or you could rent out the other three open space sims, to people who have enough per month to pay for one, but can't aford a whole "real" sim for themselves. RP groups and the like, for example.

Depends on whether it is a class 5 sim with a $295 tier rate or a class 4 sim with a $195 tier rate, class 4's with legacy pricing are still very valuable.

Completely possible. Support ticket explaining where they all go; what region it was, region names, you are done. Though I don't know about a 100 USD fee; I wasn't ever charged this.

That may have had to do with the fact that I ordered them with the immediate intent to have openspace regions though, and had them converted straightaway (eh, meaning, it took about 2 weeks).

I think thats exactly the difference. I too have ordered them from new, and never paid the $100 fee. But I seem to remember reading about a $100 charge to convert to void sims from existing (not new) sims.

By the way, not to change the subject, but I was curious if you Desmond will be chiming in on the "new CEO" thread. Always enjoy reading your take on things...

I was going to shout out a welcome to the fellow on the blog or something, but the din of everyone else made me think: let's not overwhelm!

I rather like that he's very customer service oriented and enthusiastic... the very things that impress me so much about Robin and Cyn.

He deserves a chance, as anyone should. What could I know about him, what could I say? Not much. What I look for is not populist throw-us-a-fish stuff (there will be some) or mistakes (there will be some) but rather - elegant recovery from those mistakes.

I'm more worried about the next ten net geeks hired than the new CEO, to be honest.
