This is probably why people couldn't get to the Forum Cartel hangout area earlier. As of 1:20AM PDT approximately 1,100 regions are offline as the result of a grid infrastructure failure. Until a fix is implemented, residents may experience difficulties teleporting and possibly other issues within Second Life. Ops has been notified and is currently working to resolve this issue. We’re sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and will post any updates to the Official Linden Blog as they become available. Keep checking the blog for details if your sim is down or are having teleporting problems. Earlier I had difficulties with the asset server. http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/11/02/sf-hosted-regions-service-outage/

Isn't there a 24 hour Wal-Mart near Linden Lab, surely they sell duck tape that can patch things up again?

Supervisor Linden: *taps foot* Where's the code for that rolling update? Peon Linden: Almost done, I'm just stress-testing it now. Supervisor Linden: *turns red* Testing? Testing? What do we have a live grid for? Peon Linden: But if there's a problem.... Supervisor Linden: *cuts off* ... then we'll know about it all the sooner when we deploy it live, won't we? Peon Linden: But won't fixing that take longer then if you just give me another 5 minutes? Supervisor Linden: Don't make me invoke the Tao! Peon Linden: Ok... ok... I guess it would be nice to get home early. Supervisor Linden: Now you're getting it, I see a bright future for you here. --- I know, I know, this was a network failure .

the rubber band broke.
After that it took hours to tie the 1234521th knot in it, its getting a bit fragile.

From: Brenda Connolly I thought maybe it was because Chris spent the rent money on Escorts, booze, and questionable investment opportunities. Well .. it didn't have that effect last month? *blink*
