Linden appear to have redesigned the XStreetSL website when I wasn't looking. I've just spent half an hour trying to find it and/or an in-world ATM.

Good question. I couldn't find one, either.
Perhaps they are now funnelling everyone to their inworld headquarters; the page you get to from the "Deposit Linden $s" option in the Shopping drop-down has a link* that gives you a Landmark to those headquarters. *"Go to terminal inworld" _____________________

How many interesting places have we discovered because we popped in to use an ATM? the page you get to from the "Deposit Linden $s" option in the Shopping drop-down has a link* that gives you a Landmark to those headquarters. Thanks. My eyes just completely passed over that dropdown. |

side note
Watch paying your L to terminals and if there is someone around them just standing there. PPl do put up invisi shields stand close enough so you pay the terminal and oops it goes to them, there alt, happened to me once when I was in a rush for 800L too. So be aware! _____________________

Maybe this is what's inspired LL to send everyone to the Headquarters island (where they have better control over who's there and what they're doing). _____________________

You can also use this remote deposit box that they offer: https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=207296 although there is a few minutes in delay before it gets transferred compared to using an ATM
You can also pay the Xstreet avatar account that will transfer funds but I can't remember what the official account avatar name is. I've also never tried this methos Eventually, I think they plan on integrating the two so it is seamless. _____________________

Valkyrie 137, 154, 235.Please now consider this thread a general bitch about how hidden the ATM list is on the new site, then... I use Places Search, either for XStreet or ATM. That, and I remember one particular store that has one, only I can never remember how the name is listed in Search, so I search the creator's name and TP from their picks. I don't trust the Remote Deposit boxes. I don't know if it was a glitch on their webpage, or with the box itself, but I had one repeat a $L200 transaction FIVE TIMES. Luckily, I had the money in my SL account, and each transaction reached my XStreet account, so I didn't lose any money, but that could have been awkward! (I filed a ticket. Got it back several days later, essentially saying, "Huh. That was weird. We can't find a reason for it, so it must've been a fluke. You didn't lose any money, though, so case closed." I deleted the box and went back to using ATMs.In addition to the above suggestion about avatars standing around, it never hurts to do Ctrl+Alt+T to highlight transparent before paying one, in case someone's put an invisible prim over the ATM, and to make sure you are paying Exchange Street before clicking "Pay". _____________________

I use the remote deposit box now, because it's much easier and I don't have to be in world to drop money into my XStreet account, if I leave it rezzed on my own land.
The one I used to use was in Caledon II, which is really nice for privacy. _____________________

I think they are scrapping the ATMs, as they are going to to integrate Xstreet and our accounts .There will be no need for them.I scrapped my one several weeks ago .....needed the prims.. LOL.

I hope they don't scrap the ATMs. They are handy, and they're a benefit to merchants as they are a potential traffic generator.
That said, I don't use them any more. I make transfers between my XStreet account and my in world account directly from the XStreet website. It's safer. _____________________

Can you do that now without using the remote deposit box? I suspect the ATMs are definitely getting the heave ho ... as they haven't been accepting new locations for ATMs for quite some time now. I'm sure I read somewhere it will be all integrated allowing seamless transfers in the future. _____________________

The ATM really don't have any functions anymore.
All SL accounts are recognized in xstreetSL without the ATM verification process, and as mentioned earlier you can pay "Exchange Street" to deposit funds. |

FWIW, in the "My Marketplace" box on the left, click on USD balance. Or, from the top Shopping menu, pick "My Shopping Funds".
Either will bring you to the page https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?lang=en&name=Your_Account&op=fundsmain "Click here to find a terminal" is the link under your account balances. That link points to https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Terminal_Locations |

Is paying "exchange street" relatively quick with regards to the transfer? I know they updated the remote deposit box so it's only about a minute or two to transfer but it's still slower than using an ATM. I always knew about paying the XSt avatar but never actually tried it. _____________________

Well it does have the function of Depositing Funds. I am not really sure what your saying here. As far as I know the balances are not yet integrated. I still use the ATM on my land as it is my habit, and it is fast. If anyone wants to use an ATM mine is on the front deck of the floor you tp in on at TA HQ. _____________________

Well it does have the function of Depositing Funds I'm not sure, but I thought you only had a "deposit" link if you had a remote deposit box rezzed in-world. I think everyone can "withdraw" but if everyone can "deposit" now, that would be great. _____________________

I am talking about an ATM.
I have never used a remote deposit box. I think because I heard they are slower and less reliable. And you can deposit, just L click on the screen and push pay. And like someone else said earlier. If anyone is trying to crowd you. Don't do it until they are gone. _____________________
