My region had a restart for maintenance today.When I logged back in I noticed my hair had the ends textured.I changed hair several times but all the stuff I had looked the same ....ruined.So I popped on Xstreet and got another in a different style and thought OK this will do. I have just logged back on after a photoshop session and the new one is screwed see pic. any ideas what's screwed?

No ideas what *caused* it to do that, but fixing that isn't too hard. It's the ends of each flexi piece that're now displaying a texture of sorts. Use the 'select texture' option on ONLY those textured surfaces and replace whatever texture that is with the linden default transparent texture located in the library-->textures.
5 minutes.. tops.

hmmm this is sounding all too familiar...
have you tried logging out, clearing cache and relogging to a different sim? it may be that the sim has a bad cached version, or is getting a bad cached version from you.

Thanks for the the replies all.I cleared cache and swapped viewers and it went away ..I am now wearing my original hair with no problems.Cheers

Looks like the ends where it should be transparent aren't any more. It's picked up some other texture. Actually it looks like the hair texture itself but before they tinted it. Something got jumbled, or lost, more likely, a texture isn't loading. Just my guess.
Did you write to the content creator?
