I can put up with tech problems. They happen. In the long terms they get fixed.
I can put up with the intensely irritating and unprofessional jokey wording used in Blog announcements.
BUT
What really gets to me is the dishonest two-faced muppet-speak designed to try and downplay the issues
"a few vendors" "some residents" "some reports of a small number of"
The latest Status page: "In our continuing effort to improve your Second Life experience, we have taken Second Life temporarily offline for maintenance. This may also effect portions of our website. We are working to re-open our doors as quickly as possible and we appreciate your continued patience. For more details and further information on current system status, please visit our official blog at blog.secondlife.com."
See? This is not LL taking the thing offline because it has become horribly broken yet again, and they need space to try and understand and patch up WTF it is. This is LL implying that somehow this is a proactive planned move during which they are going to perform some maintenance that ratchets up the standard of the SL experience.
Yeah!
"continuing effort to improve your Second Life experience" = continuing "OMFG it's broken again, get everyone out until it settles down again".

Good that my alt handled customer inquiries in the few hours between service interruptions. The grid is going down again right on schedule.

It's just a question of the devinition of the word "Maintenance". It must have a different one for LL

Not to fear..the LL Oops team is right on it. Darn..after two and a half years I'm finally getting cynical..I hate when that happens.
Oh well..looks like my planned day of this world will be replaced by a day in Everquest 2 ..........again.
Maybe not..a blue dropdown has just informed me that all is well again.(crosses fingers and hopes for the best).

The blog says resolved, but I still can't log in. "Failed to connect to a simulator"

From: Jake Black I dont know what the actual answer is.. I just know LLs response was at best...flaccid. From: Solomon Devoix That's a very good way to put it, and now I know why we still haven't seen the promised blog entry...
...the Lindens are still waiting for their shipment of Lie-agra to come in to firm up their flaccid reasoning.

It took my lindens and gave me this message, never did get the object, thank god it was on 1L. Oh, I've been getting that a lot lately in between stale transactions. I even get that when the object is $0L or $1L... and trust me, I can definitely afford something that costs $1L
