Hi guys,

I am getting very excited about the new standalone sims from both OpenLife and RealXtend (and I prefer the RealXtend), and the RealXtend viewer, with all its 'extras'. Especially as now you can teleport from that standalone sim into SL. If or when the avatar passport system gets going it will be awesome indeed.

As the main discussion forums for these two systems are IRC based, and I do not have IRC or any experience of using it, could I ask if anyone in this forum has experience of the standalones, especially allowing someone else to remotely connect to a standalone region, to contact me directly inworld (where I will give my contact details) to share experiences.

Many thanks

Rock

Thanks Suisei, but their forum is sadly lacking in detailed info. I have scoured it already, and posted questions, all with no joy. They make the explicit point on the same website, that in order to fully learn about OpenSim you should join their IRC channels.
