All weekend most of my group chats inworld have not worked. This morning none of the 21 are working. I know it is not just me as friends are having the same issues.

Have I missed a blog/notice from LL about this?

I haven't seen anything...very aggrevating when I'm spending 6k lindens to have a band at my club and not able to send out notices or group IMs to let people know the band is there, which is what happened yesterday.

But, it's Monday, maybe the hamster in charge of this will get it fixed.

It's funny. Some groups are working OK, some are not. I couldn't contact the Hippo Tech group yesterday at all.

Secondlife is all about communication. With friends, with others, with partners. Group communication is even more important. When that dont work whats the use? You can not get 50 of your close friends in a sim because of the lag that it produces. So what is there to do? We need more communication not less. Group chat has been on the downhill slide for months and its only getting worse. Now it does not work at all.

If you think this needs to be given top priority log on to the jira and vote this unassigned issue up.

Without the ability to communicate we might as well go....well to sleep

I tried to set up a conference with my partner and a friend last night and that wouldn't work any more than any of my groups do. It's extra annoying when you are getting group IM failures for a window which isn't even open and doesn't open for ages so you can close it to avoid them!

See where you went wrong there was you didn't contact the Waiting Tech group. There's only one Hippos to all those Waiting ... if you are lucky enough to have hippos ...

ummmm...
this is NOT a new issue? it has been like this for a long time now randomly, groupnotices are unreliable, groupchat is broken, hell, i see little reason to have groups at all these days.

highlight the names on your friend list you want in the conference im, holding shift or ctrl down to select them, then click IM.

New thing? no, there have been problems on and off for quite some time. Over the last few days though... it is not an intermitent problem - but a toal blackout.
