Buying Linden Dollares

Hi, I searched the forum on this but could not find the answer - I live in the UK and bought some $Linden from Second Life.
My question is, how long does it take to show up on my account. It has been 24 hours and they have taken my money but still it has not shown up on my account.
If anyone knows or could point me to the right place I would be greatfull - thanks

I`m in the UK as well and every time I`ve bought L$ either ingame (by clicking on the amount in the top of the window) or through the SecondLife website Ive received them immediately , How did you buy them?.

Did you perhaps.....choose the option of adding credit to your account? This has been a confusing issue for a lot of folks. There's 'buying lindens' which immediately transfers to L's you can use in-world.....or there's adding credit.....which basically means the $$$ is in reserve for paying things like monthly land tiers or premium account dues.

If that's what you did......then it wont be in your linden dollar balance in world......it'll show on the web page as a credit in your 'account' However....if you just did a straightforward 'buy lindens' transaction.....technically that should happen in mere seconds. (unless it's a CC you haven't used yet and they are still in the verify stages for some reason)

That happened to me twice with paypal,the transaction went through ok and showed in my transaction history but i did'nt get them in world,
I submitted a ticket with a screen shot of the transaction from paypal and my sl account and LL gave me the lindens in world,

Start by finding your four account histories:

Two of them are accessed from the Account block in the left sidebar. Start with Account History. This is your recent US cash balance history (or maybe your local currency, if you're not US).

Second, still in the Account Block, select Transaction History. This shows recent L$ transactions, mostly in-world purchases. However, the default settings for this page are to just show today's transactions, which means you'll want to change the starting date in the drop down box to go back in history, max 30 days.

Third, move down to the Linden Exchange block in the left sidebar and click Manage to expose the options. Click the Transaction History link in this block. (And don't get me started on having two links with the identical text.) This link will show your LindeX purchases and sales.

Finally, you'll have to hit Manage again for the Linden Exchange block, and this time click Process Credit History. It will almost certainly be empty for you, but you should know it's there. This will show transactions where you take money out of SL to put into your Paypal account, etc.

If I remember correctly, they delay delivery the first time you buy lindens as a fraud-prevention measure.

But you can call them to check.

I have done all that you have suggested and I have come up zero. The amount is only $10 US dollars so it is not a large amount. I did find a freephone number and called them, they told me they could not find any trace of the transaction so they told me to submit a ticket which I did - so it is now in the hands of Linden Labs.
But I would like to thank you all for helping me on this and I think I may go to a second life bar and have a drink - I still have $30 LD left enough for a drink I think!

i always take screen shots of transactions as proof in case anything goes wrong,then you have proof to give LL of the transaction,

I got my funds I had posted (as milla had said) into credit. My confusion was when I checked what I thought was the credit I was checking my account ( I am not computer savvy)
