Hello

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I downloaded the new version of SL, when it asked me when i was signing in.

Now it will not load at all, When i click on the icon on my desktop it comes up with the crash report and then a windows message comes up saying that this program is not working etc.

If deleted it and downloaded it again but its still the same. It worked fine before i downloaded the new version.

Can any body help me with this?

many thanks,

S

(Replies may be slower than usual here because the Forums host appears to be seriously b0rked today.)

Try deleting the application default files for Second Life; it will rebuild them the next time the application runs, although it will forget your settings and make you click through all the confirmation dialogs again. Where those are stored depends on the OS. On Linux they're in ~/.secondlife/{your_avatarname}. On XP they'll be in C:\Documents and Settings\{your username}\Application Data\SecondLife\{your avatarname}. They're somewhere else on Vista and Mac, but someone will know where, if you're using one of those.

Tateru mentioned in sldev that that particular group IM bug was actually introduced with the new server code about a week ago.

lovely, I don't use the feature often enough to have caught it before today... WTG for retro bugs =(

anyone else notice view shaking again on close up zooms while building? both I and a friend got a full dose today... it really makes detail building nerve wracking.
