Okay just a quick one here.
Imagine this; you must leave teh real world forever and reside in sl. You are allowed FIVE pieces of music (for thread limits) and ONE realworld object and ONE realworld book.
Lists please.

No way - I could not survive on only one book. I will give up the music and the object, if I can have a large box of books.

Does the complete set of the Encyclopaedia Britannica count as one book?

No LittleMe and Chris - this is same as BBC radio program. You will get a Bible and Shakespeare as part of being a Castaway. But you cant negotiate. :)

This is one of oldest radio pragrams in UK and celebrities and many not-so-famous have provided play lists of their favoruite music, ONE book and One luxury item.

The KJV Bible is a collection of 66 books. Shakespeare wrote 37 plays, not counting sonnets. So multi volume books appear to be acceptable. My choice stands, I pick
The Encyclopaedia Britannica.

But if you want to break your own rules, I will choose either: The Way Things Work by David Macaulay or an older edition of the Boy Scout handbook. Then I will build a boat or a radio out of coconuts and a car out of palm fronds.

You get EIGHT pieces of music on Radio 4!

I'll have ...

1) Roadrunner - Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers
2) Reel Around the Fountain - The Smiths
3) Poet is Priest - Julian Cope
4) When I Grow Up ... - Michelle Shocked
5) Time Has Told Me - Nick Drake
6) Channels and Winds - Philip Glass & Ravi Shankar
7) Mr Blue Sky - ELO
8) It Could be Sweet - Portishead

Book - Babel Tower - A.S. Byatt

RL object ... Swiss Army knife (not that it'd be any use in SL)

Hmm...

1. Living Dead Girl by Rob Zombie
2. Gutter Glitter by Switchblade Symphony
3. Hemisphere from the RaXephon Soundtrack
4. Inner Universe from Ghost in the Shell SAC

Book.. Darn, this one is a toughy. I'll go with whatever book I happen to be reading at the time, since I'll at least want to finish it. It'll probably either be a David Weber or a Mercedes Lackey book anyways.

And one RL object: My computer. I said I'd never unplug that easily and I meant it.

Yes, I have very odd tastes.

And I'll take the book of Shakespeare, but it had better be a complete works. I love trying to read that out loud and as fast as I can.

if I had only 5 songs forever to listen to it just wouldn't work for me it would drive me nuts.
I would need rl object I could do art work with that would allow me to have textures and ways to create my own textures.

I would bring the official guide to advanced content creation in second life. Or some book that teaches me how to script. As for an object I would bring a cheesecake.

As for songs...well can't we just listen to radio streams in SL? I don't think I could bring five. They'd get old pretty fast.

And what's your favourite colour? And have you ever been in an embarrassing situation with a carrot?

Pep, do you have to diminish everything to your level? If you arent interested in teh thread then don't answer it with a snide comment. It was just a question that I thought might interest a few people.
