For those of you that have the intestinal fortitude to read the blog comments you will see that there is a bit of an uproar about: a) The fact that LL have split the status reports onto a separate page from the blog b) The fact that status reports are not open to comments from residents. This has now got to the point of a JIRA https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-653 requesting - nay DEMANDING - that LL enable comments. I don't think it's a good idea for reason I have stated on that article, and won't repeat here. If you feel that the idea has merit, vote for it. If you feel it doesn't, then please provide your comments on it.

It wasn't like they were open for comment when they were on the main blog.
I'll be honest, unless something is mentioned here, I don't bother reading the main blog anymore. I'm more interested in whether or not I can get into SL and work/explore than I am in the next tutorial.. or something.

I can really only think of one reason to comment on a Status report - to say 'NOT' when they post a 'Resolved' message but things are still messed up.
All the other comments usually posted are just whining and bashing and, in my opinion, serve little purpose on a 'Status' page. Therefore, I am fine with comments not being allowed now.
