OK, so what is changed in the new viewer that makes it impossible to take properly-proportioned snapshots (upload to SL) ?????????????????????????? I was doing fine in the old viewer and now, all my snaps are squished! I've tried 512x512, 256x256, custom (which does not seem to really work) and current window. I made a circle or the end of a cylinder as a ref and it looks fine when I look at, looks fine in current window (preview) and uploads as an oval!!!!! I do the same with 512x512 and it looks (previews) as an oval and uploads as an oval!!!!! I run SL in a window, have a 1440x900 display (17" laptop) and have the viewer figure out the "aspect ratio" What is going on??? ~Jenni~

http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-4586 ... go and vote. This bug has been around for half a dozen First Look and Release Candidate versions now. Someone must have redesigned the snapshot window when they were half asleep. Thank heavens, the jira says a fix is pending.

It's been heck for my friend Robin, who usually saves vendor shots to her desktop as a square. SL won't let her do dat at all now.
